Treasure Valley Community College Nursing Program Ranked #2 in Oregon, #1 Among Community Colleges

Ontario, Oregon — September 4, 2025 — Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) is proud to announce that its Associate Degree Nursing Program has been ranked #2 overall in the State of Oregon and #1 among Oregon’s community colleges, according to RegisteredNursing.org. This recognition highlights the program’s commitment to academic excellence, student success, and workforce readiness.

“TVCC’s exceptional nursing tradition and unwavering dedication transform incredible students into compassionate, highly skilled healthcare professionals who fulfill their dreams of serving others,” said Mara Poynter, Executive Director of Nursing and Allied Health at TVCC. “Our program cultivates nurses who become valued members of the community, and we’re thrilled TVCC has earned recognition as one of Oregon’s premier nursing programs.”

With a 100% NCLEX-RN pass rate from 2020 to 2024, TVCC’s 60-credit, six-quarter program prepares students for dynamic careers in healthcare. The curriculum emphasizes scientific principles, technical standards, and individualized student development. Students benefit from a campus-based learning experience, an LPN to RN Bridge option, and PN-NCLEX eligibility after their first year, allowing for accelerated career progression.

Investing in the Future: New Evelyn S. Dame Nursing and Allied Health Professions Center

TVCC is currently constructing the Evelyn S. Dame Nursing & Allied Health Professions Center, a 30,000-square-foot facility designed to expand healthcare training capacity and support rural workforce development. Featuring advanced simulation labs and modern instructional spaces, the new building will elevate the quality of hands-on learning and further enhance the college’s already top-ranked nursing and allied health programs.
