Institutional Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning serves as a centralized data resource for Treasure Valley Community College by providing accurate, relevant, and user-friendly data to support accreditation efforts, assessment functions, evidence-informed decision making, quality enhancement, and strategic planning.
In pursuit of this work, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning supports Treasure Valley Community College in the following Functional Areas:
- Assemble, analyze, and disseminate institutional data in a proactive, objective, and impartial manner.
- Provide official data reports and survey completions to external agencies.
Assessment
- Help plan, establish, develop, and implement a comprehensive institutional assessment framework/program to support the TVCC mission.
- Support the ongoing development and implementation of comprehensive outcomes assessment programs for all academic units that support the goals of the College's strategic plan.
Accreditation
- Oversee College's accreditation with Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
- Provide support for other program-level specialized accreditations.
Strategic Planning
- Provide administrative support for the College's multi-year and annual strategic planning processes, including development of component elements of the strategic plan.
- Conduct external and internal environmental scanning, market research, and other analysis to enable and advance strategic and operational planning.
Program Review
- Participate in the collection and analysis of various data to support program reviews, including assisting departments with understanding and appropriately using them.
- Adopt and maintain a Program Review Schedule which enables the assessment of each academic program of the College in a four-year cycle.
