Medical Laboratory Science Transfer to ISU 

TVCC is proud to offer a transfer degree to Idaho State University's (ISU) bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science. TVCC's goal is to prepare a student to apply to the ISU Medical Laboratory Science program.  A degree in MLS addresses the broad array of responsibility and experience necessary to succeed by providing preparation for entry and advancement at a variety of places in the Treasure Valley and beyond. The degree helps students develop the skills and knowledge to provide quality laboratory services and patient care.

Currently there is a national shortage of certified MLS professionals. The majority of ISU's successful MLS graduates have multiple opportunities for employment upon completion of the program. Professions associated with laboratory professionals include:

• Clinical Service
• Research
• Sales
• Education

A certified MLS is qualified for a variety of employment opportunities including:

• Reference Laboratory
• Public/Private Hospital
• Physician's Office Laboratory
• Management
