FAA Medical Requirements
Medical Certification
All TVCC students planning to pursue the Aviation Technology program will be required to obtain a Second Class medical certificate conducted by FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). An AME is a physician with special training in aviation medicine.

- Schedule an appointment.
- Complete an official FAA application form.Note: Fixed-Wing - Class One and Helicopter - Class Two

The AME will issue you a medical certificate. And, if necessary, the AME will also issue you a Student Pilot certificate which will permit you to receive flight instruction and to solo.
