Career Pathways

Find your path to a new career

Career Pathways is a nationally recognized, innovative model for student success and workforce development. Career Pathway Certificates of Completion (CPCCs) are comprised of 12-44 credits, can be completed in less than a year, and prepare students for entry-level employment or advancement in high-wage, high-demand jobs. Career Pathways also provide a steppingstone to an associate degree, bachelor degree, and beyond, while offering a good step-out/step-in point in your education and employment journey.

Career Pathways support your career and education advancement.  We connect you with resources so you can complete your Career Pathway, find an internship opportunity and a job, and continue your education. We can help you plan for your future and map out your career path - whether you are new to the workforce, changing careers, or wanting to advance in your field. Treasure Valley Community College offers CPCCs, one-year certificates and two-year degrees in some of the most in-demand career fields that are designed to help you find a job. If your goal is to be prepared for the workforce within one year, a CPCC is a great place to start. A certificate in one of TVCC's career technical fields can provide the hands-on experience needed for an entry-level job or to advance in your current position.

How Career Pathways work

Career Pathways help guide students towards a specific profession by providing a defined list of courses offering expert training in a particular field.  All the courses in a CPCC are contained within a one-year certificate program or a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree so students save time and money by only enrolling in courses contained in the CPCC or degree. CPCCs ensure flexible educational and skill-building options for unemployed and underemployed workers, career changers, part-time students who need to work, and students who desire a short-term credential to jump-start careers in an entry-level occupation.
