The goal of the Pathways Business program is to provide a high quality, state of the art business and computer science education that will prepare students for entry level positions in the business field with options for advancement with continued learning.
Billing and Coding Technician
Medical billers and coders play a vital role in the connection between health care providers, patients and insurance companies. The Billing and Coding Technician Pathway certificate prepares students to compile, process, and maintain medical records of hospital and clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system. The student will learn how to process, maintain, compile, and report patient information for health requirements and standards in a manner consistent with the healthcare industry's numerical coding system, while maintaining patient confidentiality and information security.

Office Assistant
The Office Assistant Career Pathway certificate prepares students for entry level employment as a front-line receptionist, office or file clerk, or for a general office support position. Almost every business needs an office assistant to complete important tasks that keep it running smoothly, such as filing, data entry, preparing mailings and answering phones. There are office assistant jobs in nearly every industry, including education, medical, government and legal fields.
